the 2008 g8 meeting in lake toya, hokkaido, japan represents some what a two-fold frustration: government heads fail to accomplish[sic] anything meaningful to the global energy, food and poverty problems; international and japanese activists experience together the difficulties of spreading the wild fire of global justice movement in countries with stong and repressive policing tradition.

with everything looks not-so-promising and contrary to the usual association of anti-globalization (either over-optimistic or cynical),this work follows a korean and a japanese within the 2008 mobilization, revealing different ways of being an activists under adverse situation, with integrity.
