希望活動可持續發生及為一個來自人民、由人民自主自治的人民運動播下種子。
天星運動由保衛天星開始，發展至有關城市規劃、公共空間、人民參與、去殖民主義化、以至本土化的討論。
from the protection of the star ferry pier, the stars movement has
grown towards discussions on city development planning; public space,
peoples' participation, de-colonialism and localization.
香港本來就係一個由移民建設成長的城市，絕不應被灌輸成一個以佔多數(族裔)忽視/壓迫少數(族裔)、以強權者為主導的地方。就讓我們集結真正人民的力量，敲響以強凌弱者的喪鐘，擊潰被刻意設置隔絕人民的壁壘。
hong kong has always been a city being built and developed by immigrants, it should not be allow to be instilled into a place where the (ethnic) majority would ignore/oppress the (ethnic) minorities; nonetheless a place where the powerful rules. let us collect the true peoples' power, to ring the funeral toll of the oppressors, to tear down the walls set up to separate the peoples.
八樓朋友希望就此再作發展，強調"本土"及"人民"的概念應同時包括"外來者" 的事實。無論是，外籍家庭傭工、少數族裔人士、內地或外地新移民等等等等等，都應被理解為"人民"不應被忽視的構成部份。本土並不是冰冷死硬的鋼筋石屎，本土本來就是可育養多樣不同的種子落地生根、發芽成長、開枝散葉、共融共榮的肥沃土壤。
people of 8a wish to further from its roots, to stress on the fact that the understanding of "local" and "people" should include "immigrants". whether migrant domestic workers; ethnic minorities;new immigrants from mainland or aborad and so on and so forth, they all should be taken as an integral part of "people" and should never be ignored. local is not the hard cold cement and steel, local had and should be the fertile land that nuture a multitude of seeds to take root; bud; to grow; to breed; to share and mix and develop.
